Art Impressions Shaker Card

This week I wanted to do something a little different. I had this image from Art Impressions and wanted to include it on a card for the current challenge at the Art Impressions Blog, which is "Sequins"; and the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge blog, which is Anything Goes. I cut the circle out using my Silhouette and printed the sentiment on the computer. The image is colored using Spectrum Noir markers. I think the card turned out super cute! I hope you like it too, let me know what you think!

June sketch challenge

I have a quick post today with a card I created for the Paper Smooches June Sketch Challenge over at the SPARKS Challenge blog. Here is the card I made using the Calorie Free stamp set. I love a good pun and I combined two on this one card. When I showed my boys the card they just rolled their eyes! I don't care, it is right up my alley. Hope you like it, let me know what you think!

Paper Smooches Anything Goes

Just a quick post for today to share a card I created for the SPARKS challenge over at the Paper Smooches blog. The theme is anything goes and I used the Party Posse set with American Crafts paper and Spectrum Noir markers. It was super simple but turned out super cute. Hope you like it, let me know what you think.

Lawnscaping Challenge

I created two different cards for the Lawnscaping Challenge blog this week. The theme is Stars & Stripes. One card uses the traditional way you would think of when you hear stars & stripes, the other I went a non-traditional route. Both cards were created by using scraps of designer paper I had left from other projects, I hate to throw them away! I used the Lawn Fawn's Cruising Through Life stamp set and the star from Life is Good. I hope you like them, let me know what you think.

Embossing Challenge

I have two cards that I created using Lawn Fawn's Happy Trails stamp set and LOTS of embossing. The first card I used a SSS big dot stencil to color in the blue circles then went over them with translucent embossing paste. I used that for the sky and the ground is from the Let's Polka 6x6 paper pad. I embossed all of the images and colored them using colored pencils and Gamsol. The second card I used the SSS falling stars stencil but created the rest in the same way. The sentiment is from Close To My Heart Camper Crazy, but I thought it fit perfectly. Both cards are finished off with Lawn Fawn sequins, the perfect finishing touch!
Both cards are being entered in this week's Lawnscaping Challenge. Let me know what you think.

The Alley Way Stamps BIC

Hello there! Today I have two cards created a little differently from each other, but very much alike. I was inspired by The Alley Way Stamps BE Inspired Challenge #53 photograph. I love bright colors on a card and I use one of my absolute favorite stamp sets to create these cards - Bacon Bits. I white embossed one and clear embossed using Versafine black ink on the other. I think the white embossed is my favorite but I know some Hero will be happy to send either card when I donate them to Operation Write Home. I chose sequins to decorate one card and the other is finished off with little pearls colored with my Spectrum Noir markers. The colored strips coming off of the fan are actually the bacon strip from the set. I used vellum paper and colored the back with markers. I think they turned out adorable! Check out the challenge here and see what others came up with. Let me know what you think.
